Patsy Cline Returns via Hologram USA

Becoming the first Country legend to return to the stage via hologram, the beloved singer will be the star of a new show Beverly Hills, CA (June 22, 2015): Hologram USA and the Estate of Patsy Cline announced a partnership to create a hologram of Patsy Cline using HUSA’s patented technology. The hologram will be the heart of a full concert performance, with commentary, audience interaction and appearances by present day A-list talent, launching in 2016. The deal was approved and signed by Cline’s widower Charles Dick and Gary Shoefield, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President at Hologram USA.. “We debuted our hologram technology to the Country music world with Jimmy Kimmel at the Country Music Awards. Now Patsy Cline will demonstrate how we can bring all the warmth and virtuosity of a true icon back for new audiences,” said Alki David, CEO of Hologram USA. “We chose Patsy as our first Country hologram project, and our first female hologram project, for a reason: she was a pioneer who influenced generations of singers around the globe.” Cline was a pioneering Country star who elevated the genre by being one of the first acts to cross over from the Country to Pop charts and into the mainstream; her larger than life personality and one of a kind voice made her one of the first female headliners in the genre and the first woman to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The show will include such hits as, “Walking After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces” and “Crazy.” Since her tragic death in an airplane crash in 1963 she continued to be one of the top catalog artists for UMusic/MCA/Decca with record sales in excess of 25 million copies. She has also been honored with a U.S. postage stamp, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Grammy Award and was the subject of a feature movie starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris. Charles Dick commented on behalf of the family: “We are very glad to share Patsy and her music with this new technology and format and honored by Hologram USA’s choice to have her as the first. I am sure her fans, old and new, will be thrilled.” Hologram USA is part of Alki David’s Anakando Media Group and it holds the patent to what The Hollywood Reporter recently called “a billion dollar business.” The company was featured on Good Morning America as the only United States provider of the innovative MDH technology that created the famous Tupac Shakur hologram at Coachella and which HUSA and its partners used to help Narendra Modi become Prime Minister of India. High profile lawsuits with Fox and others have settled and major studios such as NBCU and ABC are now partnering with HUSA to license the technology. Patsy Cline joins an exciting roster of deceased celebrities that HUSA has licensed from their respective estates including Liberace, Buddy Holly, Ray Charles, and many more from the fields of music, comedy and sports. FilmOn Networks, recently named by Forbes magazine as the No. 1 game changer in the television industry, will host the Internet broadcast of the Patsy Cline hologram show via its ETV.com pay-per-view platform, and the content will be digitally distributed via MondoTunes, the largest digital music distributor in the world. Hologram USA, ETV, FIlmOn and MondoTunes are all owned by Alki David’s Anakando Media Group.
